Hello Kolb Net Works Clients and Friends,
Wow, it's been warm here in Pennsylvania. I do hope you are keeping cool
wherever you are.
How do the seasons affect your business? Your customers, their needs?
Does your web site change to fit this as the year moves along?
Call us for details on manual and automatic season update options.
Kathy's
neat link:
http://video.google.com/ - Google is
now indexing video clips for search. Visit, enter a keyword and give it a
try.
Of course, we are ready to prepare and publish your video online (and
even write, shoot and produce if needed) so that it shows up in these
multimedia search engines as they continue to mature.
Link Building Ideas:
Periodically, search for your town name and "web site links listings". Many
towns have multiple web sites that list useful information. Request a link
listing from any page that links to other web sites in your area.
Search Engine News:
MSN says they
are working on providing Local Search results, to allow for searching
for a business web site within a geographic area. Several other major search
engines are working on this, too.
Do you yearn for higher
search engine rankings? We can help! See
http://www.kolbnetworks.com/searchengineservices.asp
then call us.
New Clients / Projects:
When
it comes to premium wood moldings, wainscoting, chair and lean rails, and
wood casings for your building or office,
SelecTrim is your source.
Kolb Net Works recently made a major overhaul on
SelecTrim's website, which
now offers more product specs and drawings and information on their new line
of wood ceilings.
Summer's
almost here, and if you haven't gotten your bike out yet, it's not to late
to get in some great rides...but first, make sure it's ready.
Marty's Bicycle Shop has the expertise to get your bike in top shape. No
bike? Then Marty's has the bike for you. Browse the latest models from top
names in cycling at the newly refreshed
www.martysbicles.com and get in
gear!

Net Works recently migrated Lycoming County Resource Management Resource's
web site, www.lcrms.com, to the DSF
framework. The web site incorporates a new navigation and interface. Visit
www.lcrms.com for information about
landfill regulations, fees, recycling, cogeneration, tours, and more.

I started getting serious with digital photography. Visit my online gallery
which features some beautiful Susquehanna River pictures and some Prison
Ministry shots. www.kathykolb.com
KNW News:
About 20 pictures of mine are framed and hanging for display at
Julie's Coffee, Pine
and West Third Streets, Williamsport through the month of August. Stop in
and look around!
I also expect to be at Julie's this coming Friday, July 1, 2005 from 11am to
1 pm playing guitar and singing folks songs as part of Williamsport's "First
Friday" monthly arts celebration.
Thanks to Lycoming College senior Tim Eaton who graduated in May
2005 after a spring internship here. He designed and published the
www.girlconference.com web site
for Christy Hall while here.
Marketing Tips
Last newsletter I wrote about Blogs (web logs, like personal but
public diaries). Did you get chance to check a couple out?
Now, let's rev it up the technology even more by using audio clips instead
of the written word.
Podcasting starts with the act of recording an audio clip, like a
commentary on something you see, think or feel, and placing the audio clip
online on the Internet for the rest of the world to listen to. Then, by
adding some XML code to the posting, people (listeners) can subscribe to
your audio commentary, so that every time you record and post a new audio
show, the subscribers' computers (especially portable media devices) will
download the audio clip for listening at the subscribers' leisure.

E-commerce Tips:
What makes your customers finally hit the BUY button on your ecommerce web
site? If you are not sure, perhaps it's time for a A / B product listing
test. We can set up 2 pages for the same product (sometimes called "landing
pages") and test to see which listing has the better conversation rate.
Contact us for more details.
Email Newsletter Tips:
Watch out for holidays and common vacation week times. Try to send your
newsletter out well before or after them since people are much more likely
to hit delete when they are trudging through many emails after vacation
return.
Note: issues of current and past newsletters are online and can
be viewed at:
http://www.kolbnetworks.com/newsletters
FYI: April's newsletter had an unique open rate of 52
percent excluding bounces.
As you
start your email newsletter address list, please include my email address so
I can see how you are doing.
We appreciate
your interest and business,
-----
