Hello Kolb Net Works Clients and Friends,
I
believe that producing a monthly newsletter is getting easier for
me. Newsletter tip: As I read magazine articles, and surf the web I
consider if the information is valuable to this audience and
bookmark it if it is. Now when I go to actually write the
newsletter, I have several computer folders of material to pull
from.
As always, I
welcome your feedback as to the content in this newsletter.
Note: Graphical
versions of current and past newsletters are online and can be
viewed at:

KNW News
We anticipate
starting a radio ad campaign in August on WRAK during morning drive
time. We welcome your feedback on the radio spot, which was written
and voiced by Lou Kolb and I. The commercial we expect to run in
September is already online in 2 bandwidth versions - see our home
page
http://www.kolbnetworks.com/ for links to “Office Talk 1”.
Congratulations to
Carlos Ramos, who took his first parachute jump this month. We’re
very glad he came back safely.
Tom Lee is expecting to take some vacation time in late August /
early September.
Interesting Internet Site
Did you know that
Google has a service where you can ask a question (about almost
anything) and a paid researcher will accept your money to supply an
answer? I think it’s fun to just read some of the questions and
answers – it’s amazing what is on people’s minds:

Internet Usage
During June 2003,
Nielsen/Netratings reported Home Internet Users (worldwide) went
online 21 times and visited an average of 41 pages per session. Read

Newsletter Tips
Ask yourself – what
information does my company have that would be helpful to send to a
group of people? For instance – a Doctor’s office could send out a
message about Flu shot availability. I know of a church that sends
its members attending college a daily or weekly message from the
pastor, reminding them that their church family cares about them. An
auto dealer might announce the new models and service specials each
month. If you need help brainstorming about email marketing
opportunities for your company – call me and we’ll chat.
Last month I told
you about how I wanted more functions for email marketing including
the number of “reads” tracking and URL click through tracking,
personalization, and user subscribe / unsubscribe automation. I’ve
located a server software application that we expect to purchase and
start trying next month. The newsletter software uses a web browser
for an interface to create, edit, send and track newsletters. You’ll
see changes along the way – please give me your feedback. Once we
have things all setup, we’ll be ready to host your newsletter
project too.
As you start your
email newsletter address list, please include my email address so I
can see how you’re doing.
Regards,
-----
